I hate that my friends are dying…Cherry, Caira Sue, Maximutt, Maggie. These were incredibly amazing dogs, each and every one of them. I miss them, I miss my friends. I can’t stand to think of the pain and heartache their friends and pawrents went through.
It’s not fair, it’s not right, I hate cancer.

We’re with you Shelby! To quote Maggie’s Mom, this cancer shit SUCKS – and big time! Your friends have been truly inspirational to all of us on this site. So for that we are blessed.

Hate is a strong word for such a Petite Princess, but we couldn’t agree more.

Shelby I agree!
BUT that’s why us, non-Big C dogs have to keep their pawrents spirits up! You and I don’t have to worry everyday and we can make the others laugh and smile!
As much as it hurts us we have to be strong and bring all the sunshine we can to others.

heartache is a terrible hole to fall into – sometimes it seems you will never dig yourself out.
living in the now seems to be the only solution, but how difficult it is when glimpses of the past cause us sadness, or when hope for the future steals our focus. cancer does suck, but if this is truly part of the path i must walk with gayle, then i’d rather be by her side, than have not known her at all.

Ditto here, Shelby. Cancer is crap. We hate it too.
But we LOVE every ray of sunshine and smiles and support all you non-Big C dogs and guardians bring here.

Oh boy Shelby you hit the nail on the head…this cancer totally sucks!! Far too many wonderful incredible amazing dogs are being taken far too soon.

We totally agree! That big C thing really sucks. Us non-C dogs feel that all of you are an inspiration to us. Strong, willful, active dogs that are fighting the good fight.
Don’t let yourself get into too much of a funk about this. Yes, it is sad that we are losing so many of our furriends, but we must all remember… They are pain free now and would want us to celebrate their lives!

Got that right sistah, I know what you mean. Whenever we lose a family member here, it’s so painful.
Cancer is truly awful. So let’s turn the anger into something pawsitive, and use our noggins to help rid the world of this awful, awful disease.
Hugs to you girl.

Agreed. With all of you. The big C stinks worse than all the chemo-filled poop we’ve collectively scooped. But we’re thankful for all of the stories shared about all of our heros – without those, we’d be without the inspawration we need to get through the bad days. And we’re glad for the non-C friends who get us smiling and help make this journey much brighter!
Hugs to the PP

AMEN!! Preach it Sista!
We hate it that our friends are gone, their pawrents robbed, and we survivors left lonely. The only good part is that they’re pain-free and we can look forward to seeing them again “in the sweet bye-and-bye”.
We love you, Cherry, Caira Sue, Maximutt, Maggie.

My pawrents and I agree 100% Shelby. Cancer sucks!!! All we can think is to make the best of the time you have, enjoy your loved ones and never miss an opportunity to tell people (and tripawds) important to you how much they mean to you.

Cancer sucks life, it sucks hopes and dreams. But what it can’t take away – what it can’t suck from us is our love for our furry companions, the bond we share(d), and the memories that are made from that love. We are richer for having “known” these amazing souls – though that doesn’t make it any easier to say goodbye to them much too soon.
